In 2019, with the direct participation of our company SMU-Donaerodorstroy, the first stage of clearing the Temernik River in Rostov-on-Don was completed. This was made possible thanks to the regional project “Preservation of unique water bodies” included in the national project “Ecology”.

4.5 km of the riverbed were cleared and slopes formed, installation of gabion structures was completed over one and a half kilometers, work was done on the arrangement of bottom rapids, disposal of soil and garbage, and damage to the fishery was compensated. Other preparatory work has been completed.

In 2020, our specialists will have to rehabilitate the river on a stretch of another 4.5 km. The entire object originates in the Suvorovsky microdistrict, the end is the riverbed below the Lower Basin in the Voroshilovsky District of the Don capital.

“There is no doubt that the work of the coming year in accordance with design decisions will be completed on time,” says Mikhail Fishkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Rostov Region, who visited the site with an inspection.

Recall that the Temernik rehabilitation program, approved in 2019, provides for not only clearing the river bed, but also conducting continuous monitoring, construction of treatment facilities, identification of landfills and illegal wastewater discharges.

The result of all these works will be the creation of favorable living conditions for tens of thousands of residents of Rostov and the Rostov region.
