POURED ASPHALT CONCRETE BYPASS OF AKSAY

The construction of a new transport bypass of the city of Aksai dictates the annual increase in traffic on the approaches to the city of Rostov-on-Don. The new route on the federal highway M-4 "Don" will improve the road logistics of the entire Rostov agglomeration and the transit flow of cars will bypass urban areas.

Specialists of the Donaerodorstroy enterprise in each road project emphasize the latest technologies. This is due to the fact that the company at all times sought to maintain leadership positions in the implementation of innovations in the repair, reconstruction and construction. And the section of the federal highway M-4 "Don" from km 1024 to km 1036 (the third stage of the bypass of the city of Aksai) was no exception.

Cast asphalt was used on the bridge over the Tuzlov River. This material is widely used in Europe, since it is considered the most high-quality tool for the construction of new road and bridge surfaces.

Such asphalt is called cast because it is literally suitable for casting. It has a liquid consistency and has a special styling technology. The main difference from ordinary asphalt is the use of refractory bitumen in the composition, heated to 240 degrees. Bitumen is responsible for the viscosity of the mixture, so its compaction during construction is not required.

The head of the site, Andrei Chub, explains that one of the advantages of cast asphalt concrete is that it is indifferent to the cold, and it can be laid at sub-zero temperatures. Moreover, it is a valuable and environmentally friendly material for the construction of roads and bridge structures.
