AKSAY BUILDERS ARE GOING AROUND THE SCHEDULE

The reconstruction of the 12-km section of the federal highway M-4 “Don”, which is the third stage of the construction of the transport bypass of the city of Aksai, the company “Donaerodorstroy” is ahead of schedule.

Departing from the Platov airport to the Don highway, almost immediately we get to the third stage of the future facility. It is from here, from 1024 kilometers of M-4, the construction of the Road Bypass begins.

Not far from the beginning of the reconstruction, moving towards Rostov-on-Don (the right side of the road) at 1027 km, road builders began to cut worn asphalt concrete pavement by cold milling, dismantling the existing roadbed.

From km 1029 + 200 to km 1029 + 600, work is underway to backfill culverts.

Moving further along the reconstructed section (left side of the road) from 1033 kilometers + 500, work is continuing to stabilize the soil with cement, which makes up 4% of its total mass.

On the site where a new bridge will be built across the Tuzlov River and an overpass across Sovetskaya Street, experts fill in the cones of the supports of future artificial structures.

An effective solution for strengthening slopes at km 1034 km 1036 +600 is the use of geomats. They protect the slopes from erosion processes and restore fertile and vegetative cover.

Also on this site, road builders are engaged in sliding the fertile layer of soil to the slopes of the excavation, arrange subcellular and protective drainages.

The new section will fully comply with the standards of a safe modern road. According to the project, the existing track will be reduced to category IA and will become 6-lane. Oncoming flows will be separated by a metal barrier. Also, the fence will pass along the curbs.

It is worth noting that the existing M-4 section does not have a dividing fence throughout, and the curbs are not protected from exits at all.

In addition, our builders will reconstruct artificial lighting by replacing conventional lamps with LED ones, and noise screens will be installed near settlements.

According to Andrei Chub, the head of the reconstructed section, “work at the facility is ahead of schedule, resources and capacity plus good weather allow road workers to show such good results.”
