DON`S MINISTER OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ECOLOGY HAS VISITED ON THE PROJECT OF SMU-DONAERODORSTROY

In Rostov-on-Don, the ecological rehabilitation of the Temernik River continues as part of the regional project “Preservation of Unique Water Objects in the Rostov Region”. The day before, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Mikhail Fishkin inspected the progress of work at the facility of SMU-Donaerodorstroy CJSC.

The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources examined a section of the river in the vicinity of the Suvorovsky microdistrict, discussed with the head of our company Dmitry Timakov and representatives of Rosstroynadzor current questions.

To date, a channel has been formed on a stretch of about two kilometers, waste has been collected and taken away for utilization, and basic preparatory work has been completed.

By the end of the year, it is planned to carry out environmental rehabilitation of the river on a stretch of at least 4.5 km, Mikhail Fishkin said.

In total, until the end of 2020, the river will have to be rehabilitated on a 8.5 km stretch.

The beginning of the work site is located in the Suvorovsky microdistrict, the end is the riverbed below the Lower Basin in the Voroshilovsky District of Rostov-on-Don.

“I want to emphasize that the Temernik rehabilitation program, which was adopted this year, provides for not only clearing the river bed, but also conducting constant monitoring, construction of treatment facilities, identification of landfills and illegal wastewater discharges,” the minister said. - The result of all these works will be the creation of favorable living conditions for tens of thousands of residents of the region.

In parallel, work is underway to create the “first mile” of a continuous ecological park along the Temernik River, which should become a place of attraction for Rostovites and city guests.
