On November 29, 2017 the Governor of the Rostov region Vasiliy Golubev together with the chairman of the Board of the group of companies «DON» Vladimir Kirsanov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Mikhail Chernyshev and the chairman of the Board of Directors of the enterprise «Dorspetsstroy» Pavel Rogachkin, with the help of a symbolic button, launched the movement along the built access roads to the «Platov» airport complex — a new modern aeroharbor of the South of Russia.

Among the participants of the solemn ceremony which took place in Aksaysky district of the Don were the Minister of Transport of the Rostov region Andrey Ivanov, General Director of the company «Donaerodorstroy» Sergey Zubanov, Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, elected from the Rostov region, the members of the Don Government, the Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region, road builders, the representatives of students' teams and mass media.

In his welcome speech the head of the region Vasiliy Golubev noted that the new «road facilities are changing transport logistics for those who travel along M-4. This is only the first phase of the project. After the implementation of the second phase, these roads will be four-lane. The construction works will start in 2018 and will be completed in 2019. In the future these roads will be the part of the route of the country to the South — to the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory with the bypass of Rostov-on-Don from its western part. It will allow removing the significant part of transit transport from the capital of the region.»

One of the elements of infrastructure of the «Platov» airport complex became the highway of 16 kilometers long built by the specialists of Joint Stock Company «Donaerodorstroy». Now it will provide the access to the airport from the Northern bypass of Rostov-on-Don.

On the occasion of its launching and for successful work and high professionalism the road builders of the company were presented with awards and rewards at the solemn ceremony.

The head of the Mechanical Division Yuriy Proskurin, the truck driver of the Mechanical Division Dmitriy Gushchin, class 5 driver of Construction Department No. 872 Yuriy Slyusarenko and impactor operator of Construction Department No. 872 Mikhail Fomchenko were marked with the letters of gratitude of the Governor of the Rostov region.

5 class electric and gas welder of Construction Department No. 872 Aleksandr Koshel, construction and mechanical foreman of Construction Department No. 872 Roman Pushkarev were marked with the letters of gratitude of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov region.

In addition General Director of the company «Donaerodorstroy» Sergey Zubanov awarded a number of employees of the enterprise with the company’s letters of gratitude.

As the member of the Board of Directors of Joint Stock Company «Donaerodorstroy», the chairman of the Board of the group of companies «DON» Vladimir Kirsanov noted «the airport and the road to it are one of the key facilities which had to be built while preparing Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov region for the World Football Championship. And for our builders the construction of the new highway „from scratch“ became a demanding challenge and an excellent test for professionalism. Three bridges, four split-level interchanges, six motorway junctions, lighting along the entire length of the road, applied advanced equipment and technologies. And this laconic, „dry“ statistics hides the particle of hard day-to-day work of bulldozer drivers, truck drivers, road workers, who went to work every day in any weather during one year and a half.»

The construction of the facility «General-purpose highway of regional significance «Access road to the „Platov“ airport» started in June 2016.

The road specialists then began stripping of vegetation and filling of subgrade. It is important that the project was developed with zero ground balance of cut and fill, in other words, one and a half million cubic meters of soil did not have to be removed — it was used in approaches to bridges and motorway junctions, the banks of which are sometimes 7–8 meters.

Besides, during the construction 7 gas transmission pipelines were rebuilt, and 12 electric transmission lines were transferred.

Every day about one hundred ninety road specialists were working at the facility on a double-shift basis. Every day the fleet of special-purpose machinery was more than 80 units.

Now to the new «Platov» airport 2 new highways have been built — from Northern bypass of 15,932 km long (Joint Stock Company «Donaerodorstroy») and from Don Highway of 2,4 km long (LLC «Rostov DSU»).
They constitute a single traffic road from the M-4 Don Highway to the Northern bypass of Rostov-on-Don. Its total length is 18.4 km.
