“AVTODOR”, “DONAERODORSTROY” AND LOCAL COMPANIES SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT IN ROSTOV

On November 24 and 25, the capital of the Don region hosted a roundtable conference themed “Implementation of innovations is the foundation for developing primary roads”. The State Company “Russian Highways” (“Avtodor” State Company) initiated holding this conference.

“Avtodor” gathered road industry experts at its venue several times. This time among experts were Nikolay Imedashvili, General Director of the Group of Construction Companies “DON”, Sergey Zubanov, General Director of the JSC “Donaerodorstroy”, Vasiliy Goyda, First Deputy of Transport Minister of the Rostov region, Oleg Stupnikov, head of the Motorways Department of the Transport Ministry of the Russian Federation, and others.

According to Nikolay Imedashvili, “highways were and still are the key element of the state’s transport system, and economic growth rates largely depend on them. Roadbuilders keep up with the times – they implement innovations and, on their part, use all their efforts to increase a number of roads, improve quality of infrastructure and lifecycle of Russia’s highways».

During the roundtable conference, they executed a cooperation agreement on implementing innovation technology in roadbuilding. Igor Urmanov, First Deputy of the Chairman of the Board of the “Avtodor” State Company in Technical Policy, Nikolay Imedashvili, General Director of the Group of Construction Companies “DON”, Sergey Chernov, head of the “DorInzhServis” LLC, Dmitriy Korotkov, a representative of “Donskoy Kamen” LLC, Andrey Shcheglov, General Director of “DorNII” LLC, Yuriy Babenkov, Academic Vice-President of the Don State Technical University, signed the agreement.

Consistent with the agreement, the stakeholders intend to cooperate on evaluating quality of composition materials and bituminous binders used for road construction, developing and implementing innovation materials and technologies.

Moreover, one of the areas of collaborative activities will be improving the regulatory base of the “Avtodor” State Company subject to international best practices, particularly through sharing scientific and technical information, monitoring and analyzing innovative solutions to assess their attractiveness for the roadbuilding industry.
