The complex was built by the specialists of an open joint-stock company “SMU-Donaerodorstroy” and on the eve of the Day of the builder, on July 31, 2014, the ceremony of its opening took place. The Minister of Sport of the Rostov region Yury Balakhnin, builders and residents of Ust-Donetsk participated in the ceremony.

The center is equipped not only with a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, but also with a premium-class gym, a fitness studio, a cafeteria and a big playground.

In the opening speech Yury Balakhnin congratulated the audience on this wonderful event and highlighted that “the Ust-Donetsk water sports complex is the best, the most beautiful and the most worthy among the similar buildings of the municipalities of the Don region today”.

The volume of the pool basin is 320 cubic metres of water, the depth is from 1,2 to 1,8 meters. The complex includes also locker rooms, showers, a sweating room, a trainer's room, a doctor’s office, a massage room, a Wi-fi zone, a car park and two drives.

Besides, physically disabled people will be able to improve their health with the water activities: special equipment in the pool helps them to descend into water and allows them to do water gymnastics.
